Two oceans have always separated America from her great power adversaries and violent extremist organizations alike, but in today’s interconnected world, America’s neighborhood has drastically expanded, and the foreign policy decisions of our nation, and those around the globe, have a direct impact on the daily lives of every American.
The Bastion Institute strives to bring together some of the brightest minds across the country to discuss the path toward strengthening America’s leadership and standing on the international stage.

THE BASTION INSTITUTE
After a chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan, America’s friendships and credibility are in desperate need of repair. In order to counteract the threats emanating from China and Russia and radical terror organizations, America must mend and grow international relationships and once again prove we are and will always be the partner of choice. We are the country who upholds the right to life, liberty, and opportunity and whose government’s one overarching mission is protection of its people. To keep America’s homeland safe, secure, and prosperous, we must maintain peace in our own neighborhood, and we do that through bold leadership and strong partnerships.
The term Bastion means to fortify, to strengthen, or to strongly defend. Now, more than ever, the United States must exude these same principles. The Bastion Institute strives to bring together some of the brightest minds across the country to discuss the path toward strengthening America’s leadership and standing on the international stage, all the while relating back to the homeland.
